In 2016, Behaviour Interactive introduced PC gamers to Dead by Daylight. A 4v1 online multiplayer experience, the horror title makes four players look for an escape route while running from a ruthless killer. Dead by Daylight has since grown in popularity with new characters, and stages added periodically. Now, the developer is expanding the game even more with their Tome II: Reckoning update.

Dead by Daylight: Tome II Reckoning Contents

Dead by Daylight’s Reckoning update will include a lot of new content. New types of challenges for characters and background stories make their way into the game. Additionally, new outfits and charms are now available for The Doctor, The Spirit, Jane Romero, and David King. Jake Park will also receive a Lunar New Year outfit.

One of the most exciting parts of the Reckoning update is the community-created cosmetic items. Feng Min and The Clown are two recipients of the Dead by Daylight community outfits. This is very exciting and will likely inspire more players to submit their own concept art for different characters. This update shows that Behaviour Interactive is trying to connect with the players in ways besides game patches.

Behaviour Interactive is also introducing the new Compendium system. The Compendium will allow players to access past Tomes. Since Tomes are effectively the Dead by Daylight’s battle passes, this means that you can continue to access the first Tome’s contents. This allows players to complete past challenges and earn bloodpoints for their characters. However, you will not obtain any Rift points toward the current season while playing past Tomes.

Dead by Daylight Tome II: Reckoning launches today. The game is available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. The main characters for the second Tome receive a 30% discount in the in-game store until January 28. In addition, a new Rift is available to purchase for 1000 Auric Cells. While players can enjoy some of the new content in the free pass, they will have to purchase a premium pass to unlock everything.

How does the new update look to you? Are there any other characters or features that you hope will eventually make it into Dead by Daylight? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
