Defeated California Candidate Spencer Pratt Mocked Online for Campaigning With Vivek Ramaswamy ‘The Guy Who Lost His Race Has an Opinion’

What were they thinking?

Failed California candidate Spencer Pratt campaigned with Vivek Ramaswamy and warned against electing Democrats. Pratt called them “demons,” “socialists” and “communists,” arguing they should hold no public office. Ramaswamy praised the message and said locals should not assume similar political shifts cannot happen there. The appearance drew online mockery focused on Pratt’s own failed race.

Great to welcome @spencerpratt to southwest Ohio last night. His message was crystal clear: if you want to stop Ohio from becoming a socialist inferno, then show up & VOTE. pic.twitter.com/CzqpDFoNHZ

Fox News aired Pratt’s remarks during an interview with Ramaswamy after their joint appearance the previous night. The segment focused on Pratt’s warning and Ramaswamy’s response.

In the clip, California’s Pratt said Democrats were no longer the party associated with figures like Bill Clinton. “They are the communists now,” he said. He added that such candidates should not hold offices ranging from dog catcher to governor.

Ramaswamy called Pratt’s message “a wake up call” for Ohio and other states. He rejected the idea that political changes in Los Angeles or New York City could not reach the heartland. “That’s an illusion,” he said.

He also highlighted Pratt’s comments about voter turnout in Los Angeles. He said Pratt met supporters who praised him but went quiet when asked whether they had voted.

Ramaswamy argued that political responsibility belongs to voters, not anyone else. He tied that message directly to Ohio’s November 3 election.

Spencer Pratt Draws Mockery

The reaction quickly turned to Pratt’s political credibility, his California background, and Ramaswamy’s decision to feature him.

“The guy who lost his race has an opinion lol,” one user wrote. Another questioned Pratt’s connection to Ohio workers: “No one understands the working class in Ohio quite like a spoiled reality TV star / failed candidate for LA mayor!”

Others focused on the message itself. “Farmers and truckers can’t afford diesel and this guy is giving a college political science speech about communists,” one response stated. A separate user mocked what Pratt’s appearance suggested about the campaign: “You know the campaign is going bad when hen Spencer Pratt shows up”

Not every response rejected Pratt’s involvement. “Great to see @spencerpratt stumping for you,” one user wrote.

Another praised his broader political message: “Wild that Spencer Pratt is the voice of reason and intelligence in 2026, I’m thankful for him.”

Ramaswamy continues campaigning while Pratt’s future role in these appearances remains unclear.
