Given how unique and interesting the Microcosm Exotic Heavy Trace Rifle is in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, it’s no surprise that everyone wants it. However, getting it isn’t exactly the most simple task, and you’ll definitely need some help from a couple of friends if you’re going to do it.

How To Get Microcosm

Before you can get your hands on Microcosm, you’ll need to progress through the Final Shape quest until you meet Micah-10. From there, you’ll need to complete the Convalescence Quests. There are several quests, and the final one is called Convalescence: Budding. Completing Convalescence: Budding rewards you with Microcosm.

To make it through Convalescence: Budding, you’ll need to complete the three Final Shape campaign missions in Cooperative Focus mode. That said, you’ll be completing Ascent, Dissent, and Iconoclasm on Cooperative Focus mode. With a goal to uproot the Witness’s forces one more time, you’ll want to ensure that you have at least Power level 2000 for these missions, otherwise you’ll have a really rough time.

It’s also very important to note that while you can participate in these missions solo or with a 2-person fireteam, it much more difficult, as the activity’s difficulty is scaled for three people, whether you have them with you or not.

Microcosm Stats and Perks

  • Paracausal Imbuement – Final blows with this weapon grant Super energy. This weapon gains bonus damage once your Super expires.
  • Paracausal Beam – Fires a bean of Kinetic light, dealing massive bonus damage to shields.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
