Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes - How to Get the Event Armor

Solstice of Heroes, the special event for the summer in Destiny 2, is back starting today. Players will have until September 8 to chase after the limited time loot available during the event.

For this year’s Solstice of Heroes, Bungie is rewarding players with Universal Ornaments that can be applied to any armor piece in the game instead of last year’s standard armor pieces. There are ornaments for each individual armor slot for all three classes in Destiny 2. Additionally, there are three tiers of rarity for Ornaments with different requirements. The names for the tiers in ascending order are Renewed, Majestic and Magnificent. To kick off the grind-fest players will need to visit a special NPC in the tower named Eva Levante. This year she’s set up shop directly in front of the Courtyard Spawn Point in the Tower so you can’t miss her. Once that step is out of the way the quests diverge depending on which class is being played.

Another addition to the game for the Solstice of Heroes is the elemental orb mechanic. When an enemy is killed with an elemental attack there’s a chance that an orb of the matching element will drop. Collecting these orbs is featured prominently in the quest steps for getting the Solstice armor.

Here are the steps for earning the armor:

Warlock Renewed Tier

Solstice Hood
- Complete 1 arena run through the European Aerial Zone (EAZ)
- Land 50 precision final blows
- Get 100 Cabal final blows.
Solstice Gloves
- Complete 5 playlist strikes
- Collect 400 Elemental Orbs of any type
- Defeat 25 Guardians in the Crucible or Gambit.
Solstice Robes
- Complete 5 adventures
- Collect 100 Arc orbs in the Crucible or Gambit
- Unlock 10 Solstice Packages.
Solstice Boots
- Defeat 50 enemies in the European Aerial Zone
- Collect 100 Solar orbs in strikes,
- Defeat 50 combatants in the European Aerial Zone while equipped with a Void subclass.
Solstice Bond
- Complete 5 public events
- Defeat 50 combatants with Super abilities
- Complete 5 Crucible or Gambit matches.

Warlock Majestic Tier

Solstice Hood
- Defeat 600 combatants in strike playlists using a subclass that matches the element of the day
- Collect 200 Elemental Orbs of any type in the EAZ
- Defeat 20 bosses
Solstice Gloves
- Defeat 2,000 combatants with Elemental damage
- Collect 1,000 Elemental Orbs using a matching subclass element
- As a team, defeat 100 opposing Guardians in the Crucible or Gambit using Solar weapons.
Solstice Robes
- Complete 10 Gambit matches
- Defeat 100 combatants with abilities
- Defeat 300 combatants with Void weapons.
Solstice Boots
- Complete 10 Heroic public events
- Collect 300 Solar orbs in any strike
- Defeat 300 Hive combatants using a subclass that matches the element of the day.
Solstice Bond
- Complete 5 patrols on Titan
- Defeat 200 combatants in the EAZ
- Land 150 Arc Super final blows on opposing Guardians in the Crucible or Gambit.

Warlock Magnificent Tier

Solstice Hood
- Complete a Nightfall: The Ordeal strike on Master difficulty.
Solstice Gloves
- Complete a Nightmare Hunt on the Moon
Solstice Robes
- Complete the “Pit of Heresy” on the Moon.
Solstice Boots
- Win 7 matches in Trials of Osiris
Solstice Bond
- Defeat the final boss in Altars of Sorrow 3 times

Titan Renewed Tier

Solstice Helm
- Complete 1 arena run through the EAZ
- Land 50 precision final blows
- Defeat 100 Hive combatants
Solstice Gauntlets
- Defeat 50 combatants in the EAZ
- Defeat 50 combatants with Super abilities
- Defeat 50 combatants in the EAZ while using an Arc subclass.
Solstice Plate
- Complete 5 adventures
- Collect 100 Solar orbs in strikes
- Defeat 25 opposing Guardians in the Crucible or Gambit.
Solstice Greaves
- Complete 5 public events on Nessus
- Collect 100 Void orbs in the Crucible or Gambit
- Unlock 10 Solstice Packages.
Solstice Mark
- Complete 5 playlist strikes
- Collect 400 Elemental Orbs of any type in any activity
- Complete 5 Crucible or Gambit matches.

Titan Majestic Tier

Solstice Helm
- Complete 10 Gambit matches

Solstice Gauntlets
- Complete 10 Heroic public events
- Defeat 100 combatants with abilities
- Defeat 20 bosses.
Solstice Plate
