Destiny 2, at the point it’s at now, has loads of different weapon damage types which include Arc weapons. There are some pretty impressive Arc weapons that you can use for both PvP and PvE gameplay, but for this list, we’re going to put the focus on PvE usage. Within each damage type, there are obviously some weapons that are just a bit better than the rest and stand out. Now, this list really can’t be ranked, but let’s take a look at the best Arc weapons in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.
Centrifuse
How To Get: By reaching Rank 35 in the Season of the Deep Season Pass or by purchasing the paid version and getting at at Rank 1.
Catalyst: Static Buildup – While amplified, this weapon gradually gains overcharge. Obtain by completing the Catalyst Quest from Banshee-44.
The Centrifuse Auto Rifle is honestly one of the best weapons for someone who doesn’t do a whole lot of sitting still. Due to Regenerative Motion, whenever you’re sprinting, your weapon is gradually being reloaded, and it builds up a temporary electrostatic charge that increases your range and reload speed, as well as explosions if you can land final blows.
Cloudstrike
How To Get: By completing Empire Hunts on Europa for Variks.
Catalyst: Triple Tap – Landing three precision hits on a target will return one bullet to the magazine. Obtain by completing ritual playlist activities.
Due to having Stormbringer and Mortal Polarity on Cloudstrike, it makes a great weapon for taking out larger groups of enemies easier or boss fights even though it’s a Sniper Rifle. Where Stormbringer created lightning storms where you get rapid precision hits, Mortal Polarity generates a lightning bolt where you get precision final blows. It can be great for clearing out enemies surrounding a boss or champion.
The Hothead
How To Get: Through Legacy Focusing with Commander Zavala.
God Roll: Volatile Launch, Impact Casing, Auto-Loading Holster, Explosive Light, Stunning Recovery, Handling Masterwork, Quick Access Sling
Whenever you’re fighting with a Rocket Launcher like The Hothead, you’re probably not going to be using it without swapping weapons, which is what makes it so great with Auto-Loading Holster. You can reload the weapon after it’s been holstered for a short time, and even increase your blast radius and damage when paired with Explosive Light.
Ikelos_SMG_V1.0.3
How To Get: By purchasing from Xur or by completing Operation: Seraph’s Shield.
God Roll: Hammer-Forged Rifling, Seraph Rounds, Feeding Frenzy, Voltshot, Rasputin’s Arsenal, Handling Masterwork, Backup Mag
With traits like Feeding Frenzy and Voltshot, using this weapon quite a bit will actually increase your reload speed and even overcharge your weapon if you get enough shots in.
Indebted Kindness
How To Get: By completing encounters in Warlord’s Ruin Dungeon.
God Roll: Volatile Launch, Tactical Mag, Beacon Rounds, Voltshot, Sundering, Reload Speed Masterwork, Backup Mag
Indebted Kindness is one of the best Legendary weapons in Destiny 2, given that it was the first rocket-pistol frame special Sidearm to be released into the game. That said, this weapon fires self-propelled rocket ammunition that explodes on impact.
Riskrunner
How To Get: By completing A Spark of Hope quest.
Catalyst: increases Range. Obtain by completing the A Spark of Hope quest.
Riskrunner is honestly one of my favorite weapons. Because of the Arc Conductor and Superconductor Exotic perks, your weapon becomes much more powerful while taking Arc Damage, which is increased whenever you get kills.
Stormchaser
How To Get: By completing encounters in the Duality Dungeon.
God Roll: Arrowhead Brake, Liquid Coils, Clown Cartridge, Firing Line, Bitterspite, Charge Time Masterwork, Backup Mag.
With both Clown Cartridge and Firing Line, as long as you stay near your allies, Stormchaser actually deals increased precision damage. Additionally, when you reload Stormchaser, it will randomly overfill from reserves.
Trespasser
How To Get: By completing the No Trespassing Exotic Quest.
Catalyst: Tunnel Vision – Reloading after defeating a target greatly increases target acquisition and aim down sights speed for a short duration. Obtain by completing the Catalyst quest given by Banshee-44.
After you’ve defeated a target, your next burst will be a longer, more powerful superburst. Final blows with those superbursts then automatically reload your weapon and give you an additional superburst.
Trinity Ghoul
How To Get: Dropped from Exotic Engrams.
Catalyst: Forked Lightning – Lightning Rod now triggers from any Arc damage final blow. Obtain by completing Ritual Activities.
Trinity Ghoul has the Split Electron and Lightning Rod Exotic Perks, which both play on the Arc damage that this bow does. Your fires arrows are split when they release, but when you aim down the sights and fully draw the bow, the spread between them in decreased, and precision kills give you next shot chain lightning abilities.
Thunderlord
How To Get: By farming world drops.
Catalyst: Causing a Lightning Strike with this weapon partially reloads the magazine from reserves. Obtain by completing ritual activities.
Thunderlord allows you to use the Reign Havoc and Feeding Frenzy perks, which allows you to increase reload speed with rapid kills and generate lightning strikes with Final Blows, which can be very strong against Overload Champions.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape is now available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.
