Disney Dreamlight Valley looks like a massive hit, although it is just in Early Access. There is plenty that this town-building adventure game has to offer. From befriending and hanging out with your favorite Disney/Pixar characters to personalizing the town and your home, there is no shortage of tasks. One of which is cooking. With how important it is, we will show you how to cook and find ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Cook and Gather Ingredients in Disney Dreamlight Valley
A major feature of Disney Dreamlight Valley is cooking. This is because meals give you energy, and you need energy for everything in the game. You will notice just how fast energy depletes, and although consuming ingredients can help, meals give a much larger boost. The right meals, however, will do this.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the ability to cook is, to no one’s surprise, connected to the famed Chef Remy. So, once you unlock his questline, you can begin your cooking journey.
But first, we need ingredients. Ingredients grow all around the Valley, so keep your eyes peeled for ones you can harvest. Alternatively, you can always build and treat your own garden at home. This will give you a consistent supply of ingredients as long as you remember to water and harvest them.
With ingredients in hand, you can cook right in Remy’s kitchen. It is true that you can follow a recipe, but you won’t have access to all recipes in the beginning. Recipes are granted via NPCs or discovered while exploring the Valley.
Another fun and creative way to unlock recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to simply throw in random ingredients while cooking. Make sure to keep an eye on Remy during this process. He will either express joy or sadness upon your dish. From here, you have a chance of unlocking a recipe just by choosing the right ingredients.
Note: the more stars a meal has, the greater the effect on your energy. Also, besides consuming them, you can sell these to Goofy for coins.
