Does Redfall have split-screen multiplayer? Developer Arkane Austin has delved into the multiplayer realm before, with games such as Deathloop carrying PvP elements. The vampire hunting title is yet another of its games with both single-player and multiplayer features. However, there are some limitations if you are looking to play and level up alongside friends. Let’s take a look at if Redfall has split-screen multiplayer.
Does Redfall Have Local Co-Op and Split Screen Multiplayer?
Although it does allow for co-op play, Redfall does not include split-screen multiplayer options. Instead, those wanting to play with others must do so online. This requires a host to create a lobby from the main menu and add up to three other players from their in-game friends’ list. Additionally, players will not need the same platform to join up together in lobbies. Whether you are on Steam, Epic Games, or Xbox, you can add and join anyone’s session just by searching their Bethesda.net ID.
Redfall may not offer split-screen multiplayer, but it provides the very same experience for those who want to venture into its world alone. For instance, you can use the same character from your multiplayer lobbies in a single-player. As long you are a lobby host, this means any level progression made in multiplayer lobbies will transfer over to your single-player exploration.
Better yet, any gear obtained in multiplayer can be used when you are on your own. This even spans the items featured in the Bite Back Edition. So, players are free to wield its DLC offerings in either mode. The special edition includes everything from additional attachments, weapon skins, and character skins for each playable hero. Bite Back Edition Owners also have access to the Hero Pass, which will lend two new characters upon their debut in the future.

How To Equip a Stake in Redfall
Despite the lack of split-screen capabilities, it is still possible for friends to play with you without the use of an Xbox or PC. This can be done by downloading the game onto a Steam Deck. Redfall is currently available to purchase directly on the mobile device, enabling players to play all of its features on the go. More importantly, Steam Deck users can then shift their adventure over to their PC upon logging into their Steam account.
Redfall is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games.
