DoorDash Grandma Accused of Being a MAGA Prop After Delivering to Trump’s Office in DC: ‘She’s a Paid Actor’

DoorDash drivers recently became the spotlight job in America after a grandma whose husband has cancer could be seen delivering McDonald’s to President Trump himself at the White House in Washington, DC. As patriotic as that seems, however, DoorDash grandma also went under scrutiny after some online users noticed her as someone from the other side of the US, promoting Republican policies.

The particular delivery went viral on April 13 after the official White House X page posted it. In the video, the DoorDash grandma, identified as Sharon Simmons, was driving to the Oval Office and even handed out the orders to Trump himself. Trump also talked to Simmons about an $11,000 tax refund because of the “No Tax on Tips Act” passed in the US Senate back in 2025.

The White House, however, was quickly called out in the comment section, where one comment pointed out that Sharon Simmons was the “same person that testified last year for the @WaysandMeansGOP in Nevada,” and that “Central Casting is supposed to be a conspiracy theory.” Such comparisons suggest that the DoorDash grandma might have been a MAGA plant or prop.

Meanwhile, DoorDash themselves have confirmed that Sharon Simmons is indeed a real DoorDash driver from Fayetteville, Arkansas, who also previously lived in Nevada. She has completed around 14,000 DoorDash deliveries since 2022, in order to help pay for her husband’s cancer treatment.

People Online are Calling Out The White House

Despite her long history at DoorDash, a lot of people online and in many comment sections have continued to accuse Sharon Simmons of being a MAGA plant. One person even questioned what she was doing delivering all the way to DC, “The [expletive] she driving to Washington DC to deliver McDonald’s to Trump for?? She’s a paid actor.”

Others claimed that Simmons can be both at the same time, “She’s a paid actor that’s also a doordasher.” Some have argued with the critics about how Trump, in the video, even said, “This doesn’t look staged does it?” though the critics clapped back with much of the concern was about how Simmons could be a “paid actor” testifying as a citizen in a hearing about policies.

For the record, Simmons attended the Ways and Means GOP hearing in Nevada back in 2025, where she defended the One Big Beautiful Bill and how it would make a difference in her life. It’s not really clear whether Simmons is a MAGA plant or not, but people online nevertheless mocked the Trump administration, “You clowns couldn’t even find a fake driver in DC and had to import one for this [expletive] stunt. She doesn’t make enough to pay taxes even. You even [expletive] at propaganda.”
