Dr. Disrespect has finally commented on the debate as to whether he will join Kick or not. If you’re a part of Twitch’s avid watch base, you know who Dr. Disrespect is. If you don’t, there isn’t too much to explain. Dr. Disresepect is an American Twitch streamer and general internet personality and is one of the biggest Twitch streamers that the platform has. So it’s no surprise that once a competitor like Kick comes onto the scene, people wonder if a big name like Dr. Disrespect is going to switch teams. Dr. Disresepct, real name Herschel Beahm IV, is a high-energy streamer with a ton of fans. He first gained his mass of fans by playing Call of Duty, before moving on to other, more popular titles like Apex Legends, Fortnite, and PUBG.
Will Dr. Disrespect Join Kick?
While he is one of the most popular faces on the platform, he did get banned back in 2o20 for violating Twitch’s Terms of Service. The platform itself didn’t state a reason for the ban at the time, and during that ban Dr. Disrespect simply took his business to other streaming platforms, like YouTube. With the recent introduction of Kick, a platform powered by Trainwreck, Dr. Disrespect and many other popular heads on social media now have another choice that they can possibly make as to where their views come from. Rumors about Dr. Disrespect joining another streaming platform have circulated since Kick’s genesis, gaining traction when he mentioned that he was building an entirely new arena for his viewers. While Dr. Disrespect didn’t give too many details at the time, it was enough to get the talk stirring again.
As of March 29th, fans have started asking Dr. Disrespect directly about his future plans for streaming. While he did tease the idea, he did not make an official statement either way. As of now, it’s still a subject that’s up in the air, but very much under development. What is clear is that Twitch no longer welcomes him, and that Kick may offer things he doesn’t have access to.
