A new leak has possibly confirmed the full release date for Media Molecule’s Dreams. The leak lists the release date for Valentine’s Day 2020 on PlayStation 4. The leak comes from the Twitter account ShopTo, which is an online retailer in the United Kingdom. The now-deleted tweet announced the release date of Dreams on PlayStation 4 for February 14, 2020.

Dreams Release Date
The now-deleted tweet from retailer ShopTo lists February 14, 2020, as the release date

The tweet also has a new box art design for the physical release and lists the price as £32.85 on sale from the full price of £35. In USD this comes to just under $45, which makes sense given the full release will add extra content to the game.

Going to the link in the tweet does take you to ShopTo’s store page for Dreams, but it does not list the release date on the page.

Dreams Might Release Valentine’s Day 2020

It makes sense for Dreams to release now in February 2020 given The Last of Us 2‘s original release came in that timeframe. Now with it releasing in May of 2020, Dreams can fully come out and satiate PlayStation fans until then.

Dreams was first released on April 16th in an early access state on the PlayStation 4. It hoped to iron out any issues by bringing it to the community first before a full release. Media Molecule did say that when the game officially released it would have the main campaign to play in addition to the creation tools.

The game is an expansion on Media Molecule’s previous work by giving more power to players to make different kinds of content. While in other Media Molecule games like LittleBigPlanet, the creation tools were limiting but Dreams allows you to make any type of content you can imagine.

While this is not an official announcement, it may signal an announcement from Sony or Media Molecule is on the way soon.

This story will be updated with more information when it becomes available.
