Nintendo, obviously, spent most of their conference discussing their brand new Super Smash game: Super Smash: Ultimate. Any possible information you could want on the fighters, new and old, are currently being detailed as we speak. And, most importantly, Super Smash Ultimate will release later this year on December 7!
While Inklings and Ridley are the newest fighters added to the roster, every fighter from Super Smash history will be available in the new brawler. And I mean everyone. Snake and Sonic are listed in the roster along with Wolf and the Ice Climbers! Lots of characters feature new costumes and move sets, and even some, like Pikachu and Pokemon Trainer, can be played as male and female. Link from Breath of the Wild makes an appearance, and even Mario’s trusty companion Cappy is a part of his new get-up.
Aside from the plethora of new abilities and maps, Nintendo GameCube controllers will be compatible with the new title. All of your Amiibo figures are still compatible, and your data within them will even transfer to the new title.
