At Bethesda’s showcase today the first game that was shown off was the “accidentally” leaked early, Rage 2.

After some showmanship from the king of party songs, Andrew WK, we we treated to an extended gameplay video.

Rage looks incredible, it combines everything you loved about the gunplay of Doom, and combines it with a frantic open world.  The graphics look beautiful, and the gameplay looks incredibly tight.  We get to see several scenes of the new main character, Walker, completing a mission guided by an unseen scientist.

Walker fights through some colorful enemies with some cool looking weapons and gadgets, brings a satellite out of the sky, and then proceeds to fight some Doom-inspired types of mutants. Rage 2 is here to impress.

Decades of video games and comic books have molded me into the nerd with a heart of gold that I am today.  I can go full fanboy one second, and then gleefully play devil's advocate the next- life is just more fun that way.
