eBay Will Sell Wireless Plans With Secondhand Phones

Since eBay is one of the biggest marketplaces to buy and sell used phones, this news isn’t very shocking. The site will be offering prepaid wireless phone plans to its customers. This will be listed as an add-on option within the item listing.

This news says a checkbox underneath the “Add to cart” option will offer customers a 30-day unlimited phone plan from Red Pocket Mobile.  The plan will only cost $29. Customers also have the option to upgrade their plan to a variety of 360-day plans. All they have to do is click to check the option.

With a plethora of new phones coming out such as the iPhone XS and the XS Max, means there couldn’t be a better time to purchase a new cell phone. Here’s how the process works when people sell their used phones, buyers looking for a secondhand phone can now choose a wireless phone plan.

Red Pocket is an “MVNO” or mobile virtual network operator. It gives subscribers the option to choose any major phone carrier they want to use. eBay has most likely partnered with Red Pocket to give customers this freedom.

The partnership is spot on and makes a lot of sense for both companies. eBay steers customers in the right direction if they’re looking for secondhand devices.
