The Gold Scarab Talisman is a useable piece of Equipment in Elden Ring that increases the Runes obtained from defeated enemies by approximately 20%. This passive ability makes Rune farming significantly more effective, especially during the late game. To acquire this Talisman, the Tarnished must travel to Caelid, the region that sits to the east of Limgrave. Players have multiple options to get to Caelid. Two primary methods are taking the main path along the northern border or teleporting via the Sending Gate behind the Third Church of Marika. Once players arrive in Caelid, they must make their way to the Site of Grace at the Caelem Ruins.
Gold Scarab Talisman Guide for Elden Ring
To get the Gold Scarab Talisman in Elden Ring, players must travel south of the Caelem Ruins until reaching the Birdseye Telescope. From here, go east along the wall until encountering a ravine. Midway down the opposite cliff sits the entrance to the Abandoned Cave, the location where the Gold Scarab can be found.

Tarnished can enter the Abandoned Cave by either leaping across the gorge with Torrent or cautiously meandering along the giant roots leading to the cavern. The Abandoned Cave is full of dangerous traps and enemies, yet most can be bypassed by quickly rushing and rolling to the end of the area. The final room will feature a small arena where players must face the Cleanrot Knight (Sickle) and the Cleanrot Knight (Spear), a mini-boss pair.
It is recommended that players summon help or use their Spirit Calling Bell to conjure the Lone Wolf Ashes to take out the relatively easy yet elusive Knights. Once Elden Ring players have defeated the mini-boss, they will receive the Gold Scarab Talisman as a reward.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
