Palworld is a vast realm, and exploration is one of the most crucial things you must do in the game. Even though most of your favorite rides are flying mounts due to the many mountain areas in the game, ground mounts are still a valuable asset too. In fact, there are some excellent ground mounts you can find in the early stages of the game, while some are not so easy to get. Down below are the fastest ground mounts you can get in Palworld.
5. Direhowl
Direhowl is one of the pals you can find in the starting area. You can unlock Direhowl’s saddle early in the game. It moves slightly faster than most other mounts and is a Neutral pal. It can also learn skills such as Ignis Blast, Power Bomb, and Pal Blast, which are good enough to damage enemies to initiate a fight before they attack.
However, when you progress in the game, you must have not only speedy mounts in your Pal Team but also good fighters. Even though Direhowls provides smooth riding, they’re still weaker than some of the other pals on this list, considering the HP, and have mid-range attack power. Therefore, even if they’re a good ride during the early stages, when it comes to the mid-game in Palworld, you might want to consider a different ground mount to provide you with both speed and combat power.
4. Rayhound
Rayhound is like an upgraded version of Direhowl, providing a swifter and smoother ride. It is a versatile pal with many breeding options for powerful pals such as Grizzbolt and Anubis. However, if you plan to get a Rayhound early in the game, it’s best to try it through breeding because their habitats are in the far north desert areas, which is a massive trek, especially if you’re just starting out.
3. Reindrix
I think Reindrix is the most underrated ground mount in Palworld, considering its speed and combat power. Reindrix has a fair amount of speed and less galloping skills than Eikthyrdeer. However, its combat powers are more potent than most other ground mounts in Palworld.
The most negative point with Reindrix is that it needs much larger space to travel than most ground rides with speed. Therefore, you might find it challenging to ride on it in areas with more obstacles, such as Bamboo Gardens and desert areas. But it is still one of the more versatile pals to keep in your Pal Team, considering the benefits.
2. Eikthyrdeer
Eikthyrdeer is a fast and reliable ground mount and can be used early and mid-game in Palworld. They have a double jump ability and are functional when exploring small, hilly areas. You can unlock Eikthyrdeer’s Saddle at level 12. Unlike Melpaca, they are swift and reliable when defeating low-level pals.
But the problem with Eikthyrdeer is it is a very aggressive pal. I have been using Eikthyrdeer as my ground mounts for a while in Palworld, and what I found is whenever I jump off from its back, it starts to attack nearby pals and draw us into an unnecessary fight. This is a significant drawback; it might jeopardize the mission and get you killed.
1. Univolt
Univolt is the best and fastest early-game ground mount in Palworld. They are also exceptional when traveling in hilly areas, since they have a better jump ability than many of the other pals on this list. Also, they can be captured more quickly than other rides and also provide crucial materials such as Leather, Horns, and Electric Organs. If you can catch a Univolt with the Swift passive skill, it will have 30% more speed and be a versatile partner in your explorations.
There are also powerful ground mounts in Palworld, such as Necromus, which is at level 50. It cannot be easily captured without high-level weapons such as an Assault Rifle or Grenade Launcher. So, most of you must level up your Pal Team and weapons before capturing that type of pal. However, the pals mentioned above provide the fastest ride when you’re in the early and mid-game stages. Therefore, if you want to explore more areas quickly on the ground, these are the Fastest ground mounts in Palworld.
