Just a couple of weeks after the arrival of Wolfgang Krauser, SNK is ready to keep the fight going with the next addition to the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster. Today, the developers have finally unveiled who the next fighter joining the stage is, and he’s none other than the legendary Mr. Karate, who many might remember as one of the bosses back in the day, but now this former boss will be fully playable. On top of that, this fighting title is celebrating its first anniversary, allowing all players to jump into South Town by getting the game at an excellent price.
Fatal Fury: City of Wolves Unveils Mr. Karate and First Anniversary Sale
SNK announced today during EVO in Japan that Mr. Karate is the next character to join the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster. Right now, we only have the teaser above, which shows Mr. Karate’s in-game model and his release window for May 2026.
With Mr. Karate joining the fray, that means the Season 2 pass is now complete, as Kenshiro was already revealed ahead of time, and we know he’ll close the second pass sometime in June 2026.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a big gameplay reveal, as SNK saves that for later or just when it is close to the character’s release date, but if history has taught us anything, it is that the studio has been knocking it out of the park with the recent post-launch characters, so we imagine Mr. Karate will be the same.
Also, for those who haven’t had the chance to step into South Town, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is celebrating its first anniversary with a huge sale on all platforms. You can get the Legend Edition at a 40% discount, which is around $29.99, making it an excellent price for this superb fighting title.
So, whether you’re a South Town newcomer or a veteran, now’s the perfect time to get back for some quick bouts and wait for the imminent release of Mr. Karate. And while the season 2 pass is already over, we can only hope that SNK has something else in store for the future, because we’d love to see even more fighters land in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
