It has been a long time since a surprise trial was added to Final Fantasy XIV. Endwalker‘s Patch 6.55 comes with a ton of new story content to lead players into the next expansion, Dawntrail. Furthermore, the Hildibrand saga culminates in a thrilling conclusion and a new trial featuring Asura. The Gilded Araya is not hard to unlock if you have been keeping up with the ridiculous gentleman Manderville’s quest. Let’s discuss how to unlock the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV.
Steps To Unlock Gilded Araya Trial
To unlock the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV and face Asura, there are some steps you need to take:
- Complete the main Endwalker campaign and all associated prior Hildibrand expansion side quests.
- Hildibrand – A Realm Reborn
- Speak with Wymond in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald at X:9.8 Y:8.7 to initiate the first Hildibrand quest, Rise and Fall of Gentlemen.
- Hildibrand – Heavensward:
- After completing the initial Hildibrand chain, seek Nashu Mhakaracca in Ishgard at X:5.9 Y:9.9 for A Gentleman Falls, Rather than Flies, and progress through all quests in this chain. You’re halfway to unlocking the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV once this is completed.
- Hildibrand – Stormblood:
- Level 70 players can continue the narrative by obtaining the quest A Hingan Tale: Nashu Goes East from the Conspicuously Inconspicuous Man in Kugane at X:10.6 Y:9.8.
You will now have access to the Endwalker Hildibrand quest chain, bringing you close to unlocking the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV. To initiate the Endwalker Hildibrand quest:
- Find an Excitable Youth in Radz-at-Han at X:11.8 Y:11.2 for the quest The Sleeping Gentleman. This quest serves as the starting point for the Endwalker Hildibrand storyline.
Fighting Asura in FFXIV
In Patch 6.55, players can conclude the Endwalker Hildibrand storyline by taking the quest called Duplicity and Duplication. It is started in the same spot at Radz-at-Han as long as you have kept up with the Patch content. This leads to unlocking the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV.
Eventually, you will progress to the quest called Gentleman at Heart. This culminates with unlocking the Gilded Araya trial in FFXIV. Here you will fight Asura. She is not a complicated boss and has very forgiving mechanics. You also receive a UFO mount upon completion of this quest.
