A first-time mother in Los Angeles, California, delivered a very heartfelt, albeit hilarious, presentation to her husband, telling him how she wanted to spend her first Mother’s Day and what she wanted as gifts. The presentation, however, was hijacked by constant “new car” hints, and the internet is asking her husband to do his part and get her what she wants.
The heatwarming clip was shared online by Sydney Westra. She posts lifestyle, family, and travel content, and, in fact, she had posted a previous, similar “push presentation” before she gave birth. This follow-up, in less than a day, garnered 561,800 views, 96,600 likes, and close to 600 comments.
The California woman began her presentation by saying she was fully aware they had a “huge hospital bill.” In addition to her other expenses, Sydney was trying to be realistic. However, she did mention that she had to get a Foley balloon before delivering their daughter.
Her presentation began with some meditation. Color spiraled next, but a brand-new Kia Sportage popped out occasionally, with Sydney laughing in the background.
Next, the California mom mentioned the “little things” she wanted as gifts. This included flowers and a nice car, with an emphasis on the “CAR.” A slide featuring the Kia Sportage and a baby car seat followed, but she quickly moved the presentation forward.
Other gifts she asked for included new bed sheets, a massage given by a professional, a newborn photoshoot/mommy and me shoot, and new outfits. Slowly, however, the Kia Sportage popped out from the camera, and Sydney’s husband laughed while holding their daughter.
However, what really mattered to Sydney was having “a cute day” with her husband and baby, both of them cute, as displayed in a new slide. Multiple Kia Sportages, however, flew across the screen, once again showing the first-time mother’s inner wish and desire.
“That’s it. Thank you for listening,” Sydney said. Her husband answered, “That was awesome. Gave me a lot of ideas and I feel empowered, inspired, enlightened, and relaxed.”
Internet Laughs, Asks For New Car
The video sparked multiple responses.
Many users found Sydney’s presentation hysterical. One viewer commented, “The tiny car coming out from behind the camera killed me.” Another one wrote, “Tell us how does it feel to be the funniest person alive.”
Other users encouraged her husband to get her the Kia Sportage. One user said, “I hope he’s driven to the right choice.” Finally, some viewers even believed that Kia itself could chip in toward Sydney’s new car dreams, with one viewer writing, “Where are the car brands??? They could honestly do the best marketing here.”
With the whole internet waiting for how this will turn out, it is safe to say that Sydney and her husband are in for a wonderful first Mother’s Day, whether there’s a new Kia Sportage or not.
