The Nintendo Switch is an amazing console, one almost everyone seems to own. However, if you own a Nintendo Switch, you have most likely been the victim of Joy-Con Drift or at least have heard of it. This is an ongoing problem with the console and its Joy-cons that everyone keeps having to get repaired either by Nintendo, another repair store, or YouTubing it at home to figure it out themselves.
This Could Fix Your Nintendo Joy-Con Drift
GuliKit, a gaming peripheral maker, has recently released a new joystick upgrade kit, which will let you replace the joysticks on your Joy-Cons, but it is also supposed to keep you from ever getting Joy-Con drift again. This would automatically be an amazing thing for all Nintendo Switch owners if the drift is stopped with this product.
To explain a little more, the company has said the joysticks are Hall Effect, which means the joysticks use a magnetic system, which will make parts of the inside of the controllers not physically touch, and that will keep pieces from getting worn out after having the Joy-Cons after a while of use.
Times before, GuliKit tried to fix this Joy-Con issue by releasing their own third-party Pro Controller, which was called King Kong Pro 2. If you scroll Amazon or any other gaming seller website, you will see that many companies and brands have made their own Joy-Con look-likes or even just controllers designed with the Nintendo Switch in mind. NYXI recently also just announced that their new controller, which is a close fit to the Nintendo Wavebird, promises that it won’t drift with the Hall Effect joysticks.
The GuliKit Hall JoyStick kit is now available on Amazon for $30, and if you own multiple sets of Joy-Cons, you can pick up more than one pair, so then the lifespan of your Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons will last even longer without drift. Although, please keep in mind you will have to replace the Joy-Cons manually yourself, there are many videos on YouTube about how to safely do this, or you might take it to a tech repair shop and get them to do it. Either way, we might just be saying goodbye to drift forever!
