Ring camera footage of a man in Florida is going viral on social media after he was caught trying to walk off with a woman’s package that was placed right in front of her door. The video was shared on TikTok by her son @thakidddd.cj, and it has since racked up over 300,000 views and more than 90,000 likes, with many netizens actively ridiculing the man for his actions.
According to the timestamp on the footage, the incident happened on Wednesday, April 8, around 6:17 p.m. The man walked up to the woman’s front door and picked up a package that had been left on the ground. As he looked over the label, he began walking away with it.
However, he barely made it a few steps before the homeowner’s voice came through the camera, firmly telling him to put the package down. Caught off guard, the man immediately turned around and returned it. He then attempted to explain himself, saying, “I’m sorry, I was trying to tell you it was outside.”
The woman, however, did not believe his story. She told him, “No, you ain’t trying to tell me [expletive]. You ain’t knock on my door and my husband coming outside. So put my [expletive] down and keep moving. You don’t need to tell me a thing.”
The man walked away in the opposite direction from where he was initially headed but briefly returned again to say, “It’s okay, I’ll call the police to let him know,” before finally leaving the area.
