In a video he has since deleted from his official Instagram account, Josh Peck recorded himself mocking a family trying to put out a house fire, angering many fans. Even if he tried covering his tracks, nothing really escapes the cold grasp of the internet.
While the post was deleted, a Reddit user was able to save it and shared it on the r/Popculturechat subreddit. In the video, we see a family desperately trying to put out a fire that appears to be coming from inside their house. They are using buckets of water to put it out, but it seems the fire was too big to control. However, Josh Peck decided to do a horrible video about it, mocking the family while they’re panicking about a fire coming from their house.
In the now-gone video, which said, “It’s in the effort, not the results,” you can see Josh Peck cutting to footage of himself using a hose to clean his driveway, clearly making fun of the effort the family was making to put the fire out. It seems the video got a lot of backlash because he took it down quickly. Still, he wasn’t quick enough, as several users saved it and started sharing it across the internet.
As you can imagine, people quickly lost the love they had for this former actor and shared several not-so-friendly comments about him and the video.

These are among the least offensive comments about Josh Peck’s latest video, but the truth is, people are beyond angry. Some believe that he’s being entitled for being rich and pointing out that he’s showing little to no empathy over the heartbreaking situation this family had to go through.
Also, while some people are sharing their thoughts on the Reddit post, several Instagram users have started flooding his most recent posts, blaming the actor and criticizing him for what he did. It’s unclear whether he’ll make a statement about what he did, but by the looks of it, people don’t really want to know anything about this once-beloved actor anymore.
