With the arrival of Chapter 5 Season 1, Fortnite has received many new features: new POIs, new weapons, new crossover skins, and even new movement mechanics. In addition, it is important to remember one of the newest and most remarkable features of this update: Fortnite Weapon Mods, which has been in the works since 2020. Whether it is the new Train added to the Map or the new Bosses, this Chapter will be extremely eventful and entertaining in Fortnite. Now let’s take a brief look at all the changes.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 Map Changes

Due to the Big Bang event we experienced at the end of Fortnite OG, the game’s map drastically changed in Chapter 5 Season 1. As a result, the names of POIs, the look of the map, and the structures changed quite remarkably. As a result of these changes, 11 new POIs were created. At the same time, a Train that runs around the entire map and contains valuable loot was added to the Fortnite map.

The new POIs, in other words, the location names that have been added to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 are as follows:

  • Rebel’s Roost
  • Classy Courts
  • Lavish Lair
  • Ritzy Riviera
  • Reckless Railways
  • Grand Glacier
  • Ruined Reels
  • Pleasant Piazza
  • Fencing Fields
  • Hazy Hillside
  • Snooty Steppes

Fortnite Weapon Mods

In addition to the new locations, Weapon Mods have also been added to Fortnite. You can now attach Weapon Attachments to your weapons and customize them as you wish, just like in many other FPS games. For example, you can increase the number of bullets in your weapon’s magazine or reduce its recoil. You can customize your weapon from the Mod Benches in the Vaults. However, there is a possibility to find directly modded weapons as a Floor Loot.

Train Heist

A Train has been added to Chapter 5 Season 1 in Fortnite that circles around the entire map. There are NPCs guarding this Train, but if you defeat them and capture the train, you can get some rare loot.

Fortnite Bosses

There are now bosses in various areas of the Fortnite map, including Valeria, Peter Griffin, Montague, Oscar, and Nisha. By defeating these bosses in various locations in the game, you can obtain Society Medallions. These medallions will give you various advantages. For example, if you capture Peter Griffin’s Medallion, your Max Shield will increase.

Augments Returned

Augments already existed in seasons before Fortnite OG, and now they’re returning with Chapter 5 Season 1. You can think of these Augments as passive abilities. For example, the Jump Time Augment gives you a Super Sprint Jump every 20 seconds. It looks like there are currently 21 different Augments in the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.

Returning NPCs

In Fortnite, we can recruit NPCs to our team or buy items from them for Gold Bars. In addition, some NPCs are needed to complete Weekly or Daily Fortnite quests. NPCs that were removed in Fortnite OG are back with Chapter 5 Season 1.

Other Changes

Vehicle Customization has also been added to Fortnite. Now, car customization is almost as detailed as Rocket League. You can change the paint, decals, and even the wheels of your cars. In addition, new movement and climbing physics have been added to the game.

This is a wrap-up of what you need to know about the new Train, Bosses, POIs, and Weapon Mods that have been added to Fortnite.
