In a battle royale or survival game like Fortnite, it’s important to provide players with a unique and fun experience. For example, when you’re playing Call of Duty: Warzone and you kill someone in a very epic way, very few things can give you the satisfaction of the rage you hear in your headset. The same goes for the conversations you have with other players in Rust via voice chat. Communicating with other players vocally increases your enjoyment of the game much more. And we Fortnite players will finally be able to experience this pleasure because Proximity Chat is soon to be added to the game.
All Details About Proximity Chat in Fortnite We Know So Far
To be completely frank, we currently have limited information about Fortnite Proximity Chat. From what we know so far, it looks like Proximity Chat will only be available in Creative mode for now; there’s no word on the Battle Royale mode yet. However, we hope that a voice chat system is in the pipeline for the Battle Royale mode as well.
The addition of Proximity Chat to Creative mode will make Fortnite Horror Maps extremely fun and maybe even give a boost to the game’s overall playerbase. Thankfully, Epic Games will give players the option to turn off Proximity Chat for those who prefer things the old-school way. Additionally, the “Falloff Distance” feature will allow players to adjust the distance of Proximity Chat.

Is Black Widow Rare in Fortnite? It’ll be pretty fun listening to the rage of other players, not only for horror maps but also in competitive modes like Zone War, Bed Wars or 1V1 Build where you’re battling other players. To wrap things up, Proximity Chat will only be added to Creative mode in Fortnite, and the exact date has not yet been confirmed.
However, if Epic Games receives positive feedback from players as a result of this action, we think they will integrate such a feature into Battle Royale mode.
