Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has shared more details on the complete line-up of minigames that will be featured in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Fan favorites such as pocket circuit racing and the cabaret club are set to return alongside a new coliseum mode. Minigames in Like a Dragon have become a beloved staple of the series, and the latest entry is set to continue the trend.

The game’s overview trailer revealed a brief look at the minigames a few weeks back. The new details provided by RGG give a better idea of what to expect. Expect the usual levels of craziness you can expect to find in Like a Dragon. Players can test their might in the coliseum alone or with teammates. This marks a significant departure from previous arena modes, typically featuring one-on-one bouts.

The Hell Team Rumble is a team vs. team mode that allows you to fight alongside some of the franchise’s most iconic characters. You can organize a plan of attack for your team and train them to raise their stats. Alongside that is the Fighter’s Lounge, which allows you to bond with your teammates and recruit new fighters.

Kiryu’s appearance can also be fully customized for the first time in the series. Honestly, it’s probably for the best. After rocking that grey suit for the better part of 20 years, it’s bound to have got a bit musty. Kiryu can now be styled however the player sees fit with new suits, shirts, or headwear.

The Karaoke minigame has also gotten an update. The classic anthems are back again, but Like A Dragon Gaiden will feature the first Christmas song in the franchise. On top of that, the cabaret minigame will feature an extra level of immersion with live-action models. Classic Sega title Fighting Vipers 2 has been added to the arcade, and Kiryu will again compete to become the pocket circuit champion.

Like A Dragon Gaiden is, by all accounts, supposed to be one of the smaller entries in the series. Fans can expect to sink dozens of hours into the newest entry if these minigames are anything to go by.
