This whole promotion has been dubbed the New Year Sock Swap, and unlike how some media outlets have stated, they are only accepting new and unworn pairs of socks. Once you have handed them over to GAME, each pair of donated socks will be given to one of a variety of U.K. homeless shelters where they will be much appreciated, and you will receive a nifty £2 on top of a trade-in of games and an extra £15 for a trade-in of tablets, phones, or consoles.
It’s not much, but every pair of socks helps as they are the number one most requested item in homeless shelters across the U.K. So if you are near a GAME store and want to help out plus get a little extra bang for your buck, bring in any unwanted but still fresh Christmas socks.
