The month of August is fast arriving and with the recent publication of August’s PlayStation Plus listing, it’s also about time for the month’s Games with Gold line up. This month is filled with some oldies but some goodies. If you haven’t had a chance to play these past titles, it’s about time to give them a go.

First off this month, we have one brand new title, although I must say, it doesn’t look too inspired. Entering early access in January of last year, Slime Rancher is a life simulation game from developer Monomi Park. You’ll use a vacuum as a weapon to capture and farm blob like creatures, while also harvesting crops and exploring the world. I can’t say the gameplay itself looks all that enticing, but the Loco Roco meets Overwatch art style is at least somewhat interesting.

The second game Xbox One owners can get their hands on is Trials Fusion, arguably one of the best Motorcycle arcade games in recent years. Enjoy a myriad of tracks as you try and master your finishing time speed and trick adequacy.

For Xbox One and 360 owners, you’ll have the chance to play two titles from the past. One of which comes from one of the most polished hacks and slash franchises ever created. From famed director Hideki Kamiya (Resident Evil and Devil May Cry) comes the fast paced, action-centric world of Bayonetta. Since she’s the last surviving member of a witch clan and has been asleep for 500 years, you know she has some catching up to do. And so do you, if you haven’t tried out this masterpiece.

The second game 360 owners will receive is Red Faction: Armageddon. A solid third person shooter set on Mars from back in the day. It comes from Volition, the guys behind the Saints Row series and the upcoming Agents of Mayhem (another game you shouldn’t sleep on). If you have the time, give this one a go.

So there you have it. Your Games with Gold line up for August 2017. For everything on Games with Gold and free games in general, stay tuned to Thenerdstash.com.
