FFXIV Dawntrail is upon us, and Square Enix has kicked off the celebrations at King’s Cross St Pancras, London. Any Warrior of Light with access to this iconic locale can see one of the MMO’s Aetheryte for a day. While it won’t allow you to travel to other places in the world, you can attune to it before the imminent launch of FFXIV‘s newest expansion if you’re around the area.
The real-life Aetheryte in London will stay at King’s Cross from 7 am to 11 pm (BST) on June 24 to celebrate the launch of FFXIV Dawntrail. For those unaware of what this MMO is doing next, the fifth expansion will take players to the gilded lands of Tuliyollal. This is a huge deal as it is the new story arc after culminating the Hydaelyn & Zodiark saga. Furthermore, Dawntrail will see the first graphical update for the game and bring many new features. Some include the long-awaited and fan-favorite two-dye system. With this in mind, it is only normal for Square Enix to bring out the big guns and start showing off what the world of Eorzea and beyond has in store for us.
Undoubtedly, FFXIV Dawntrail promises to be one of the greatest expansions we’ve seen in recent years. While Endwalker was fantastic and went out with a bang of cosmic proportions, many are excited for a new narrative arc for their characters. Also, if you haven’t saved your spot for Tural, you are still in time. Dawntrail launches on July 2, with early access beginning on June 28 for those who pre-order the expansion. Also, remember that the 48-hour maintenance period is about to begin so start preparing for the expansion with the little time that’s left.
Frankly, I can’t wait to play FFXIV Dawntrail. Out of all the new systems and jobs coming to the MMO, I’m more excited about the new area. I’ve already talked about how the Latin American culture plays a big part in the expansion, and it is something I am eager to experience. Beyond that, the cyberpunk-ish areas, the mysteries behind the City of Gold, and the secrets deep within Tuliyollal make me feel like a true explorer.
