The arrival of Fontaine in Genshin Impact brought many new features to the game, which fans have welcomed. The Hydro Nation brought a French steampunk aesthetic, new puzzle mechanics, the long-awaited ability to dive, new enemies, materials, and even being able to interact to some extent with the local fauna. Yet HoYoverse is looking to give even more to its players because recent leaks point to an expansion of the Fontaine map for Genshin Impact version 4.1.

Genshin Impact 4.1 Map Expansion Will Be Located North of Fontaine

Like Sumeru, HoYoverse prefers to work on adding new areas to its recent region with every version. Fontaine is the newest region to have arrived in Genshin Impact, but now leaks point to Fontaine getting its first map expansion in version 4.1. Many fans theorized that the territory would grow to the east due to the giant gap between Fontaine and Mondstadt/Liyue. Especially since Celestia is supposedly located flying over this same area; however, these leaks mention that, in reality, the nation of justice will expand northward. This expansion will go over the Court of Fontaine and Opera Epiclese territory. Also, a previous leak of the complete Tayvat map located the Celestia´s Portal under the same coordinates between these 3 nations.

Many are already looking forward to the arrival of version 4.1 of Genshin Impact. This is because of the new map expansion, the upcoming banners, and the new challenges. So, if you have not completed all the missions or the exploration in Fontaine, you still have time. You can complete puzzles or challenges until before the end of the second phase of your banners in version 4.0. Remember to save your Primogems because some highly-requested re-runs accompany many new characters on the horizon.

Genshin Impact is available for mobile, PC, and PlayStation.
