The new Dragonspine region in Genshin Impact brings a plethora of quests and treasures for the players. One of the hidden quests that the new region brings along is the hunt for Ancient Carvings. There are 8 Ancient Carvings in total, and finding all of them will get you a sweet reward.
Players have to find 8 Ancient Carvings that are spread all over Dragonspine. These are stone tablets with some ancient text written on them. Some of the Ancient Carvings are easy to locate and find, while for some, you have to clear mini-quests. Here are the locations for all the 8 Ancient Carvings in Genshin Impact-
Note: All the locations are marked with a blue arrow.
Location #1
The first Carving can be found in the secret room below the Statue of Seven. Along with the Carving, there will be 8 runes in the room that will light up each time you interact with a Carving.
Location #2
You can find this Ancient Carving near the snowy path. There are torches near the Carving, but it’s not necessary to light them.
Location #3
Head slightly west of Wyrmrest Valley and defeat the giant robot near the Ancient Carving to interact with it. Keep in mind; you cannot interact with the Carving until you defeat the robot.
Location #4
Head towards the south-west of Starglow Cavern, and you’ll reach a frozen pool. You’ll need to solve the puzzle by lighting up the heaters near the frozen pool. There are two Seelies, and you need to time them properly in order to light up all the heaters. However, once done, the frozen layer will break, revealing a new area beneath it. There are more heaters here, which you need to light up, similar to what was done before. After all the heaters are lighted, a Rune Grader will be awakened, and you have to defeat it to interact with the Carving. Once defeated, acquire a Scarlet Quartz, which is right near the area, and destroy the Ice barrier(near the staircase) using it. The Ancient Carving should be right behind the ice barrier.
Location #5
The Ancient Carving is located near the north side of the Skyfrost Nail and adjacent to the Domain. This place is also related to another sidequest(In The Mountains), which you need to clear to access the Ancient Carving.
Location #6
The next Ancient Carving can be found near the north side of the Entombed City Outskirts. However, like the prior Carving, you’ll need to clear the “In The Mountains” quest to access this area.
Location #7
The last two Carvings are both located in the Starglow Cavern. Climb on top of Starglow Cavern, and you’ll find an Ancient Carving right next to the cliff.
Location #8
For the next Ancient Carving, you have to go inside the Starglow Cavern. At the bottom of the Cavern, you’ll find a sealed room with the Ancient Carving locked inside it.
You have to collect three Priest boxes to open the locked door in this location. The Preist Boxes can be found, at the bottom of Starglow Cavern, in the snow-covered path and south of Wyrmrest Valley.
After interacting with all 8 Carvings, head back to the secret room below the Statue of Seven, where you found the first Carving. You’ll find a big cube in the middle, which you need to use to unlock the secret room. Inside the room, you’ll find a blueprint for Snow-tombed Starsilver, which is a 4 star Claymore weapon. You can get the weapon done from one of the two blacksmiths in the game for 50 Crystal Chunks and 50 Starsilver.
