Tsurumi Island is the new mysterious area introduced in Genshin Impact‘s  2.2 Update. Unveiled during the Version 1.6 Special Program, the island is enveloped in a thick fog that can cause adventurers to easily lose their way. The mist isn’t the only hazard on the island, as the area is crawling with Hilichurls, Automatons, and Rifthounds. Players who try to explore Tsurumi Island will discover that they must complete several quests before the fog “accepts” them. Keep in mind that the World Quest Series “Seirai Stormchasers” must be completed in order to travel to Tsurumi Island. Continue reading to learn how to get to Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact.

To get to Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact, players must speak to Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild to begin the questline, “Through the Mists.” The first quest, “A Particularly Particular Author,” will have the player talk to an NPC in Inazuma City named Sumida, who will help the Traveler reach the island.

Sumida can be found northeast of the Inazuma City’s Souvenir Shop. After interacting with her, she will give the player a letter, and the player must take this letter to an NPC named Kama in Ritou. To quickly travel to Ritou, fast travel to the waypoint, Narukami Island. After some dialogue, Kama will grant the player access to Tsurumi Island.

As mentioned before, Genshin Impact players who attempt to venture to Tsurumi Island before following the “Through the Mists” quest series will helplessly get lost in the island’s dense fog. Those with the active quest, “A Particularly Particular Author,” will have full access to the island, enabling them to explore and discover its secrets.

Genshin Impact is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android.
