Everyone’s favorite NPC with a pompadour is back, as the Marvelous Merchandise event returns in Genshin Impact. Liben is the most fabulous pompadour in the game, and to fund what surely is a laborious haircare routine, he’s tasking players again to find different resources across Teyvat in exchange for some enticing rewards. The Marvelous Merchandise event is one of the easiest and silliest ways to earn Primogems in Genshin Impact, and we’re glad it’s finally back.

The Marvelous Merchandise event is an incredibly simple event that allows you to earn a lot of valuable Primogems. Each day, you’ll need to find the NPC Liben and exchange a variety of common materials to earn a “Box o’ Marvels.” Each box contains a different set of rewards but will also include Primogems for players to collect. The materials you’ll need to submit are typically easy-to-find open-world materials, such as apples, fowl, or sweet flowers, so you shouldn’t have trouble getting your “Box o’ Marvel” each day.

After trading five different boxes with Liben, you can earn a special “Mega Box o’ Marvels” on the final day, rewarding you with Primogems, Hero’s Wit, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and Mora. You’ll only be able to submit one reward per day, so after getting one box, you’ll have to wait until the server resets to get your second.

Disappointingly, Liben can’t be used to scam your daily commission rewards like most events can, so you’ll just have to treat his presence as a necessary Primogems stimulus. Oh well, we’ll just have to be satisfied with Liben’s majestic presence for now and leave it at that. The event only lasts one week, from January 22 to January 29, so don’t delay this event if you want to earn all of the rewards possible.
