Some of the characters in this gacha go through good and bad moments, some more than others. However, this particular character is not even playable in Genshin Impact and collectively earned the hatred of the whole community, Paimon. Since the beginning, this companion became the Travelers’ guide, so it made sense that they explained everything in Teyvat to us. But over time, it became annoying for many that they always talked over the main character, who had almost no lines in their script. So four years passed until the fire nation attacked Genshin Impact, Natlan, with a new companion to hate: Ajaw.
Having two characters in one is unique, as is the case with Kinich, who has Ajaw as a companion or some kind of talking “pet.” This sidekick is part of Kinich’s gameplay by transforming itself into a weapon or taking its dragon form in Kinich’s Elemental Burst. Despite hiding many secrets of the lore in Genshin Impact, Ajaw is arrogant with everyone. This is another aspect that makes it insufferable, even calling Kinich his slave and confronting face to-face the queen of the meanest nicknames, Paimon.
However, this all changes depending on the language you play in. Many players hate Ajaw’s pitch of voice and personality when using the English language. In the Japanese version, Kinich’s voice is Sasuke Uchiha, and Ajaw’s is Naruto Uzumaki. However, Kinich and Ajaw are a great team in terms of gameplay. But for me, no one will be a better and more reliable companion in Genshin Impact than Paimon, even if they don’t let the main characters speak most of the time and repeat everything others have just explained two seconds ago. Also, if I get stuck, Paimon will be my best friend or emergency food in case of the worst outcome. For me, there’s already a winner.
