Georgia Karen Has a Hissy Fit Over People Supposedly Swimming at Local Lake: ‘This side’s for fishing’

Quit being a bother

Who doesn’t love an aesthetic sunset photo or simply enjoying the summer weather? When one Georgia woman tried to get a good picture of her and her friends at a local lake, their moment was rudely interrupted by a nosy Karen. TikToker Kelsooo23, Kelsey, shared the confrontation she had while out at the Queen City Lake. When they were trying to take nice sunset photos together, it would’ve been a wonderful moment to capture. However, the moment was ruined when a nearby Karen, doing absolutely nothing at all, wanted to be the center of attention.

Someone’s in a fishy mood.🤣😭 She’s making imaginary rules. #karen #drama #fish #viral #lake

The Karen approaches Kelsey and her friend, calling out to them that they can’t be there. “This side’s for fishing,” the woman says. If they’re trying to swim, they need to go to the other side of the lake. When they tell her they’re just taking photos and ignore her, she continues on to tell them that those are the “rules.”

Kelsey calls out back to her, “Well, we’re not swimming! Bye!” As the Karen continues to fight with them about it, a random bystander comes and starts sticking up for them. Kelsey races back to her phone, picks it up, and records the nosy woman. She tells her audience, “Ya’ll, this is what a Karen looks like.”

Kelsey screams at the woman, telling her they were just trying to finish up taking photos. She tells the Karen to “go home” as the woman proceeds to her seat by the lake. She then asks the woman, “What woman is so bitter you come and [expletive] up other people’s time?” Eventually, the Karen says she’s going to call the police, and Kelsey exclaims, “Good!”

It’s unlikely the police would’ve done anything. Queen City Lake is available for swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, and many other outdoor aquatic activities. Although Kelsey and her friends were there for a photoshoot, they would’ve been permitted to swim as well.

The Internet didn’t have a kind word for the Karen

People in the comments to Kelsey’s TikTok video were behind her 100%. Many agreed the Karen was just being annoying and obnoxious. One commenter wrote, “I’m mad with u and agree with what u said” while another said, “People need to be not so nosy”

One viewer drew attention to the duck, saying, “Even the duck said I’m out of here.” It’s surprising the Karen didn’t pester the duck about ‘rules’ when it escaped into the lake.

Despite the confrontation, it didn’t seem to deter Kelsey. When a commenter wrote, “We just continued on with our photoshoot unbothered…,” Kelsey responded, stating, “And we did!!” And honestly, that’s the best attitude to have when you tangle with a Karen. Ignoring them and going about your day is the ultimate repellent.
