NetherRealm Studios has just released the first gameplay trailer for Ghostface, who will be joining the Mortal Kombat 1 cast as its newest DLC character. The reveal came from Ed Boon when he released a small gameplay trailer that showed off the design of Ghostface, his voice, some of his specials, and his dialogue with Johnny Cage.

Ghostface comes from the Scream movies, and even though each movie has a different face behind the mask, this one also uses the same voice-altering tool so technically, we don’t know his true identity, and it might just be best to keep it that way.

The gameplay trailer confirms that Ghostface joins the Mortal Kombat 1 cast on November 19, but only for early-access players at first. His full release for everyone will be a few weeks later on November 26. Ghostface is the 10th character to join the growing Mortal Kombat 1 roster since the release of the game, and the fourth one from the Kombat Pack 2. If you’ve purchased it already, all you have to do is wait for the release date.

Ghostface follows Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot from the second Kombat Pack. Other characters coming after Ghostface have already been confirmed, but we don’t have a concrete release date for them. They include T-1000 from Terminator 2, and Conan the Barbarian as well. Conan will be based on his movie version played by Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. And the T-1000 will look like the actor who played him in Terminator 2, Robert Patrick.

If you’ve missed the previous characters that were in the first Kombat Pack, here’s a quick reminder. The returning characters or others from the same universe are Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda Takahashi. Those from outside the Mortal Kombat universe are Omni-Man from the Invincible series from Image Comics, Peacemaker from the Suicide Squad, and of course, the milk-drinking Homelander from The Boys.
