A Black Pennsylvania woman says her morning bus ride turned into a racist confrontation when another passenger told her to “go back to Haiti.” The woman continued attacking her appearance and threatening her before other passengers finally stepped in. Commenters were outraged by the confrontation, with some questioning why it took so long for anyone to intervene.
In the exchange, posted to TikTok by @hottiehadi, the woman is heard yelling, “Go back to your own country. You don’t belong here. This is America. Go back to [expletive] Haiti, or where the [expletive] you’re from.” The Pennsylvania creator responds by calling her “weird as [expletive].”
From there, the argument on the bus turns into a back-and-forth over each other’s appearance. The woman threatens to “snap her like a twig.” The creator fires back with comments about the woman’s weight and age.
A man eventually steps in, prompting the woman to suggest calling the police on both of them, since it was “her fault too.” A separate passenger, sitting across the aisle, interrupts the whole exchange, asking, “Are we kids or are we grownups here?“
According to @hottiehadi’s caption, the woman fell into her on purpose while boarding, and then launched into what she described as a “MAGA rant.” She also labeled the woman an “ugly white MAGA racist [expletive]” in the on-screen text.
Later, in a follow-up comment, the Pennsylvania TikToker said the site had previously taken down both videos she posted about the incident.
The Bus Ride Takes a Turn
Plenty of commenters were stunned by how far the rant went. “This country has become an embarrassment. The level of racism happening is so gross,” one wrote.
Several viewers praised the Pennsylvania creator for not backing down and credited the man who intervened. “W for the guy who stood up for you and W you for not letting her break you! She was definitely jealous you’re pretty and young,” one commenter wrote.
Others focused less on the insults themselves and more on how long everyone else waited to get involved. “They allowed that to go on too long for me, it’s like they waited until they seen you was recording to intervene,” one wrote.
A few commenters wondered if something else was driving the outburst. “This is ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Was she drunk? Or did she just wake up filled with hate?” one asked.
Not everyone accepted the “MAGA” label at face value, though. Some argued the video didn’t support that claim. “Where did she imply she MAGA? I know liberal people who have said worse,” one wrote.
Racial issues are always a hot-button topic. When someone makes seemingly unprovoked racist remarks in public, people are going to have something to say about it. In this instance, most viewers shared the same reaction of disgust at the woman’s behavior and language.
