She said, “What the people of New Jersey want to see is a transparent, accountable government.” State officials have said about 6,600 people who indicated they were not U.S. citizens were improperly added to the rolls through a Motor Vehicle Commission problem, and that fewer than 400 later voted; Sherrill has said there was no evidence those ballots changed an election outcome.
