GRID is now available on Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation 4.

One thing about GRID that makes this fast-paced racing game feel exciting is the rivalries. You can choose to hire different AI partners throughout the races. This allows you to build up a relationship with your team. Not just that, you can develop genuine rivalries with other racers created by on-track driving. This is one racing game you won’t want to play clean. The trailer shows off this break-neck speed demon of a game. You’ll feel your heart pounding as you race through challenging racetracks and wheel-to-wheel action.

After winning the Best Racing Game award at Gamescom 2019, GRID showed us its true colors, racing into our hearts. Good for serious racing sim players, as well as something fun for casual gamers, this game earned that award. Not just a straight racing game, even the AI will bend the rules and outright cheat just to beat you. From braking too late and risking hitting a wall to leaving the track to cut corners, these drivers are SERIOUS about winning and don’t mind wrecking you up to do it.

Why Play this Racing Game?

There are 400 AI personalities, ranging from ‘calm’ to ‘aggressive’, allowing for different experiences. All of these drivers are out for the trophy, some of them are out for blood. Not to mention over 100 career events, 12 race locations, and the return of Ravenwest Motorsport. Chris Smith, a game developer for Codemasters, had this to say in a press release:

“As a team, we are incredibly proud of the game we have made and excited that players around the world can finally get their hands on it. We set out with three goals; make a game that puts the player in control and allows them to play their way. For the game to feel alive and celebrate the drama of motorsport. Lastly, make a game that is for everyone; to have the best handling which appeals to both core racing fans and casual players. We have put all of this into GRID and we look forward to hearing feedback from our Players.”

This racing game is now available worldwide on PC, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox family of consoles. So go burn some rubber and win a few races. Once you get started, it will be almost impossible to stop. Not to mention, you’ll have to get back at those nasty AI drivers, they are NOT playing around. This game will definitely end up on a list of iconic racing games.

If I'm not here on the site, you will probably find me nose-deep in a book, playing games, or reading comics... and always with a cup of tea.
