It’s no secret that Gypsy Rose Blanchard is a major Taylor Swift fan. Since being released from prison in December, she’s repeatedly shared her love for the “Cruel Summer” singer in various interviews. Most recently, the 32-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she plans on celebrating her freedom by attending Swift’s Eras Tour soon. So, what is it about Swift that Gypsy admires so much? As it turns out, it all comes down to what she stands for.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Is A Fan of What Taylor Swift Represents
First off, Gypsy admitted she’s a huge fan of Swift’s music. She applauds the singer for all of her recent success, including “hitting the top charts right now.” However, more so than her music, she loves how Swift is “an inspiration to women” everywhere.
She’s all about girl power, which is great.

When asked about her favorite songs, Gypsy revealed she’s been listening to Swift’s Midnights album a lot lately. At the top of her playlist is Swift’s hit single “Karma.” The track is about keeping your head high after learning someone you once trusted has turned their back on you. At one point during the song, Swift sings:
Ask me what I learned from all those years. Ask me what I earned from all those tears. Ask me why so many fade, but I’m still here.

The song’s message about remaining positive during tough times is especially relevant to Gypsy’s story. After being abused by her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, for most of her life, Gypsy was handed a 10-year prison sentence for helping orchestrate her mother’s murder in 2015 with her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn. Gypsy went behind bars in 2016 and after doing time for nearly eight years, she was released from prison early on Dec. 28.
Since then, Gypsy has been enjoying her life as a free woman with her husband, Ryan Anderson, by her side. One of the things at the top of her bucket list is to attend Swift’s Eras Tour. She told Entertainment Tonight:
At some point I plan to go.

Since Gypsy lives in Louisiana, could she attend one of Swift’s New Orleans concerts in October? It seems we’ll just have to wait and see.
