One of the biggest surprises in Marvel’s Eternals came in the first post-credit scene when Harry Styles, a former One Direction member, was introduced as a brand new hero. Styles’ character, Eros (also known as Starfox), visited the Eternals, offering to help search for the others who were taken by Arishem the Judge. He was introduced by Pip the Troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt) who introduced Eros as “Royal Prince of Titan, brother of Thanos, the Knave of Hearts, defeater of Black Roger, the great adventurer, Starfox.” Since time has passed since the debut of Eternals, Marvel has shared a character poster, showing Harry Styles as Eros in all his glory.

The connection between Eros and Thanos is quite interesting as this suggests that Marvel is following storylines set up in the comics. In the comics, Thena and Thanos are first cousins, both born to brothers who were Eternals. However, the two brothers were estranged which may be why Thena has no idea of this connection. Eros appears to recognize Thena, commenting on her legendary status.
While Styles’ reveal as Eros could have massive implications for the MCU going forward, many were just shocked to see Styles in an MCU movie. Styles is no stranger to acting as he did appear in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. Still, this was a big secret that nobody knew was coming and many were surprised to see the pop icon appear.
The second post-credit scene also contained a huge cameo, however, this one was harder to figure out. In this scene, Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman attempts to touch the ancient sword that belongs to his family ancestry and become the Black Knight. Before he touches it, a voice echoes out of nowhere, asking Dane if he is ready for this. That voice turns out to be Mahershala Ali as Blade. This marked his MCU debut as this character, even if it was just a voice role. We know there is a Blade movie on the way, but this suggests we could see the character sooner rather than later.
