WarnerMedia has announced that its highly anticipated streaming platform HBO Max will officially launch on May 27th
The trailers for Max Originals available on DAY ONE have also been unveiled, and it includes Anna Kendrick in LOVE LIFE, documentary feature ON THE RECORD, unscripted competition series LEGENDARY, CRAFTOPIA featuring YouTube sensation LaurDIY, all-new LOONEY TUNES CARTOONS, and THE NOT TOO LATE SHOW WITH ELMO. After the initial launch, additional Max Originals will continue to premiere regularly on the streamer through summer and fall. These include shows such as the highly anticipated Friends unscripted cast reunion special, The Flight Attendant, starring and executive produced by Kaley Cuoco, and Adventure Time: Distant Lands- BMO, the first of four breakout specials resurrecting Cartoon Network’s Emmy and Peabody award-winning franchise Adventure Time, and so much more.
HBO Max will feature a library of more than 2,000 feature films within its first year; including Crazy Rich Asians, A Star is Born, Aquaman, Joker, plus 20 films from Japan’s legendary Studio Ghibli animation house, including Academy Award® winner Spirited Away and the much-loved My Neighbor Totoro.
In addition to the premium acquired content on the platform, the WarnerMedia portfolio allows HBO Max to curate from 100 years of the most iconic films ever made, such as Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz and Citizen Kane. You can also catch Justice League, Wonderman, and every Superman and Batman movie from the last 40 years as well as access to a library of new theatrical hits.
The service will pull from WarnerMedia’s deep library of fan favorites, including HBO premium originals such as Big Little Lies, Game of Thrones, Euphoria, and more.
You’re pretty much guaranteed to have something fun for everyone in the house – from pre-schoolers to teens to grownups – with scripted and unscripted series, documentaries, animation for kids and adults, and movies. So, say goodbye to boredom!
