In the Shadow of Time is one of the many relationship quests that you can learn how to complete in Hogwarts Legacy. For this one, you will meet with Sebastian Sallow, who will ask you to help him find a relic that can possibly help his sister, Anne, from the curse she is under. Sebastian sends you an owl to let you know that he finally has a lead on the relic and that you need to meet up with him to help him get it. How to Complete In the Shadow of Time in Hogwarts Legacy
Before you begin this quest, you’ll want to make sure you have finished In the Shadow of Discovery and Fire and Vice.
Meet Sebastian at the Catacomb
Near Feldcroft, where Anne and Sebastian’s uncle live, Sebastian will be waiting for you at the Catacomb marked on the map. Head there and speak to Sebastian Sallow.
Enter the Catacomb
Behind Sebastian, you will see the entrance to the Catacomb. Head inside.
Find the Relic
Continue on into the Catacomb until you find yourself in a wide open room with a pile of bones in the center of it.
Walk up to the tomb in the middle of the room and interact with the note lying on the ground.
Speak to Sebastian About the Note
You will need to speak to Sebastian about your findings next, then inspect the barricaded door.
Find a Way Through the Barricade
For this step, you will need to cast Wingardium Leviosa on the pile of bones sitting on top of the tomb, then move them over to the barricade. Once you’ve done that, use your Accio spell to open the other tombs surrounding the room. Each time a pile of bones is revealed, move them to the barricade using the same method until the barricade opens.
Find the Relic
Once you make it into the next room, you will speak to Sebastian, who tells you that you may need to learn the Imperius Curse in order to complete the quest. If you would like to learn it, select the “Yes, I’d like to learn the Imperius Curse” option.
Turn to your right and open up the closed door using your Bombarda Spell.
Find a Way Through the Barricade
Make your way through this barricade the same way you did with the last barricade. In order to open the compartments containing the bones, you will need to pull the handles with the corresponding symbols at the same time.
Find the Relic
Follow the path farther into the Catacomb.
Defeat the Spiders
In order to move to the next objective, you will have to defeat every spider you encounter here.
Find the Relic
Approach the table and interact with the items there. You will find a parchment with some information, a picture of the relic, and the relic itself.
Speak with Sebastian About the Relic
Turn to Sebastian and speak with him after you collect the relic before leaving the Catacomb.
Leave the Catacomb
You won’t be able to fast travel out of the Catacomb, so you will have to follow the path you took to get inside in order to get back out.
Wait for Sebastian and Ominis to Finish Talking
Sebastian and Ominis will get into a fight over going after the relic and using Imperius. Once they are done, you can speak to Ominis.
Persuade Ominis
Speak to Ominis after he is done talking to Sebastian and offer to take the full blame. He will give you permission to cast the Imperius Curse on him, allowing you and Sebastian to leave. Now, head back out to Feldcroft.
Return to Feldcroft
When you arrive back in Feldcroft, you will find that the town is under attack, and goblins are everywhere.
Defend Feldcroft from Ranrok’s Loyalists
When the fight is almost over, and you have defeated every goblin, a goblin will come toward Sebastian’s sister, and Sebastian will use the Imperius Curse on it to make it kill itself rather than Anne. Sebastian and Anne’s uncle will be furious and threaten to banish Sebastian from their home.
Speak to Solomon Sallow
Speak to Solomon to try to calm him down and make him understand what Sebastian is going through. He will be upset and refuse to forgive Sebastian for using the Unforgivable Curse, even if it was to save his sister’s life.
This will complete the quest.
