This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

It’s no news that HoYoverse, while having familiar faces among all its games, also has very unique characters. Whether it’s their story, design, or gameplay, each character stands out in their way, and for Version 2.2, Honkai Star Rail brings a character from the old West to a universe with a more modern feel: Boothill. This cowboy has his tricks: he has the fastest shots in the West side of the galaxy and an uncovered abdomen of pure steel with hundreds of horsepower that no one can compete with. That’s right, HoYoverse is finally catering to cowboy lovers.

This character looks like the lone ranger archetype but with much more personality. He belongs to the Path of the Hunt and wields the Physical type. Along with his guns, these make him the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. However, his design isn’t the only thing that stands out; the Honkai Star Rail 2.2 leaks show that Boothill has cowboy-themed animations. For example, his Burst transports him and his targets to a duel in the style of Western movies with some iconic sound effects. In addition, he delivers a powerful kick using his sharp spurs in his basic attack.

When the classics don’t work, Boothill, as a robot, can also transform his mechanical arm into a high-powered blaster. Furthermore, another feature that caught the attention of fans about this husbando, besides his abdomen, was the hair, which was similar to Arlecchino from Genshin Impact, being black and white. Undoubtedly, seeing this cyber-cowboy riding towards the golden horizon of the desert is an image worthy of seeing in the dreamscape. We hope Boothill will play an essential role in Honkai Star Rail during the 2.2 update. However, we will have to wait for it; HoYoverse still has many stories to tell, with Acheron and Aventurine helming the latest plot.
