Bronya Rand is a character that many might recognize from the huge Honkai universe. While initially appearing in Honkai Impact 3rd, she’s back in HoYoverse’s latest game under a new light. Serving as Belobog’s Supreme Guardian, Bronya is a true leader, which shows not only in the game’s story but also in her skills. If you’re lucky enough to have her, she’s one of the best supports in the game and someone you must have in almost every party composition. That’s why today we have the best build and team comp for Bronya in Honkai Star Rail.
The Best Build for Bronya in Honkai Star Rail
[Updated on August 26, 2024 – Updated the guide’s information, images, and links]
Bronya is a character who comes from the Path of Harmony and wields the Wind element. While she isn’t the best damage dealer in the game, she’s the best buffer and can increase your party members’ crit damage. Plus, as you might’ve noticed in the fights where she’s an enemy, Bronya can forward a character’s turn, making her a must-have in all teams. If you want to put her skills to the test, here’s the best build and team comp we recommend for Bronya in Honkai Star Rail.
Light Cones
Since many players might already have Bronya to do her being part of the standard banner, there is some good news: she works well with many Light Cones. While some might outperform others, the majority of them do terrific work at making Bronya one of the best buffers in the game. Here are the ones we recommend:
Light Cone | Description |
---|---|
But The Battle Isn’t Over (Best/5-Star) | Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 10% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every two uses of the wearer’s Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action deals 30% more DMG for one turn. |
Planetary Rendezvous (4-Star) | Upon battle entry, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, DMG dealt increases by 12%. |
Dance! Dance! Dance! (4-Star) | When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies’ actions are Advanced Forward by 16%. |
We recommend three options, which serve in different scenarios. But The Battle Isn’t Over should be the go-to Light Cone for most situations. Since we need Bronya to spam her ultimate on our team’s main DPS, it is important to get her Energy Regeneration as high as possible, which is what this LC does. Plus, it further buffs Bronya’s skill by granting the buffed ally an even greater damage increase.
However, if you don’t have that one, Planetary Rendezvous is great if you have a team with other Wind characters, such as Blade of Dan Heng. Lastly, Dance! Dance! Dance! is a common 4-Star Light Cone you can get that speeds up everyone’s actions, so that’s good to have, too.
Relics and Stats
Looking at all the relics in Honkai: Star Rail, the only one that makes sense for this build for Bronya is Messenger Traversing Hackerspace. This is the best relic set for buffers, and it works even better with Bronya as it increases the SPD of allies when she uses her Ultimate. Regarding the Planar Ornament, I recommend going for Fleet of the Ageless because it increases everyone’s ATK once Bronya reaches a certain SPD threshold. Below are the stats you need for her:
Relic/Ornament | Stat |
---|---|
Body Piece | CRIT DMG |
Feet Piece | Speed |
Planar Sphere | HP |
Link Rope | Energy Regen Rate |
The one thing you need to keep in mind when building Bronya is that her speed needs to reach at least the 160-speed breakpoint. This is a good threshold to reach and will allow Bronya to act fast, thus letting her spam her skills more often.
Team Compositions
With the newest characters we’ve seen in Honkai: Star Rail, Bronya is perfect next to Boothill. Boothill hits like a truck but takes a lot to act. However, Bronya can help with this as she can make him attack faster and even buff him. Here’s the composition I recommend:
Boothill Main DPS Team
- Main DPS: Boothill
- Support: Bronya
- Second Support: Ruan Mei/Pela
- Healer: Gallagher
If you don’t have Boothill, you can use Bronya with other DPS characters, such as Blade, Jingliu, Seele, and so on. Bronya fits anywhere easily and is great for any team composition. However, the buffer meta has changed a lot, so Bronya is better for teams that require a speed increase and DPS characters to act faster.
