Honkai Star Rail’s New Drip Marketing Reveals the Fate of a ‘Dead’ Character

The opera ain’t over until the bird sings.

This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Before we delve into specifics about Robin’s drip marketing for Honkai Star Rail, prepare for a big spoiler warning. You might be confused if you haven’t finished the main story of Version 4.0. And you’ll be even more confused if you’ve completed it. So, proceed with caution. After the whodunit situation in Penacony, we were moved to tears by watching two characters meet their end. Or that’s what we thought because Robin is prancing around in her new marketing, and we have no idea of what’s going on in this dream world.

Honkai Star Rail Robin’s Drip Marketing Resurrected Penacony’s Idol

With the final mission of Version 4.0 and Robin’s supposed death, fans believed this singer would never belong in Honkai Star Rail‘s roster. Even if some leaks pointed at Penacony’s idol skills to be in the game, several Trailblazers saw this as fake and moved on. Today, HoYoverse pulled the biggest plot twist with Robin’s reveal, thus shocking everyone. It also became public that Robin is from Harmony Path and Physical, like Hanya. While significant, this means that the Xianzhou Lofuo resident has a 5-star competition now, so good riddance.

Despite the recent release of Ruan Mei and Sparkle, both 5-star Harmony characters, players don’t mind getting another buffer. Some are even considering mono-Harmony team comps, which will be a first. Personally, I wouldn’t mind having Robin around. Combined with Sparkle and Ruan Mei, having eternal buffs sounds like a fun thing to try while playing.

Furthermore, other leaks mention that Robin will have two different voice actors: one for her regular voice lines and one for her singing. Something we saw with Yun Jin in Genshin Impact. What is very clear with Robin’s drip marketing is that Honkai Star Rail will put many people’s wallets at risk. Add to that the potential release of Acheron and Aventurine, and it just shows HoYoverse is either spoiling us with great characters or encouraging us to sell our belongings to get them all.
