A Georgia couple documenting life while unhoused is drawing criticism after sharing a brief glimpse into what they describe as the “craziest chapter” of their lives. While some viewers sympathized with the pair’s situation, others questioned why they weren’t working, criticized the woman’s appearance, and debated whether struggling alongside a partner is a sign of loyalty or a situation women should leave behind.

Posted to TikTok and later Instagram by Georgia creators @micnjazz7, the video shows the couple walking through a parking lot while speaking to the camera.”Well, we officially spent the entire day at Publix,” the creator says. “Now it’s time to go to the gym for the entire night,” she continues before praising her partner for carrying their luggage.

The Publix-to-gym video appears to be just one glimpse into the couple’s current reality, with the pair recently sharing other posts documenting life while unhoused.

TikTok Has Thoughts About the Georgia Couple

The comment section was not nearly as sympathetic as one might expect, with many viewers questioning how the couple was spending their time while unhoused. “You could of spent the entire day doing Instacart shop in orders at Publix,” one commenter wrote. Others wondered how much time had been spent applying for jobs, while some suggested the pair should have simply applied for positions at Publix while they were there.

The creator’s appearance and upbeat demeanor also became a point of discussion.”How are you homeless but got on lashes,” one Instagram user asked, while another questioned, “Why you sound excited tho?“

Many commenters also focused on the couple’s relationship dynamic, particularly after the creator praised her partner. Some suggested she would be better off on her own.”Struggling with a grown man isn’t anything I’d do but I wish you well out of your situation,” one person wrote.

Not everyone agreed with the criticism, however. Some viewers pointed out that homelessness can happen to anyone and urged others not to judge the couple based on a short video.”Most of us are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. Don’t judge someone else’s situation,” one commenter wrote.

The creator later addressed assumptions about employment in a follow-up comment, writing, “Just because I said we spent the day at Publix, does NOT mean we didn’t work or make any money don’t let that go over your heads.”

Overall, much of the conversation centered less on the realities of homelessness and more on whether the couple deserved sympathy in the first place. While some viewers stressed that anyone can fall on hard times, others focused on what they believed the pair should be doing differently.
