Remnant 2 has been a huge success since its early access, and while many complain about how “easy” this souls-like game is, it’s still fantastic due to everything it brings. One of the most important gameplay features in Remnant 2 is its archetypes or classes that players choose when they start a campaign. Each class has different starting skills and abilities; others can be acquired as the game progresses. Here, we’ll list all available archetypes or classes in Remnant 2.

It is a class available from the beginning of the game. Its specialty is long-range attacks with guns, and it has great accuracy. - Gunslinger
This archetype is also available in the initial selection if you pre-ordered the game. If not, you can unlock it later by following certain steps. It focuses on ammo preservation and is one of the best DPS archetypes in Remnant 2. - Medic
This type of character is among the initial classes or archetypes of Remnant 2. If combat isn’t your thing, the medic may suit you better. This is a support class, ideal for co-op sessions. - Handler
The handler is also an archetype you can pick right from the start. It is an excellent idea for players who don’t like to play alone or have little experience in this type of game. The handler gets a dog that will help him to attack other enemies or heal him, making this a beginner-friendly archetype. - Challenger
This is the last of the classes that are available from the start. This is a good option if you are looking for a sturdy character that can withstand much damage and brush off death. - Summoner
This is a class you can discover while exploring the world. This character can create minions to attack enemies; if sacrificed, they can do more damage or even heal. - Alchemist
This is another archetype in Remnant 2 found by triggering an event. The Alchemist can create buffs and heal other party members. - Explorer
You’ll get this class later in the game, and it is perfect if you want to find certain treasures. Equipping this class will make unlocking a secret archetype much easier. - Engineer
The Engineer is a class that focuses on heavy weaponry and turrets. If you want to hold your line while fighting, this one’s for you. - Invader
It is a very difficult class to unlock but the most agile one in the game. It is an archetype aimed at players with more experience in the game, and you can obtain it by doing several steps. - Archon
After completing the story and conquering The Backrooms, you can unlock the Archon. This class focuses on buffing your Mod Power Generation to become the master of Weapon Mods. - Ritualist
This is a unique class for The Awakened King DLC, in which you must return to the world of the Fae, Losomn. The Ritualist works with magic to deal AoD and apply negative effects on enemies. - Invoker
In The Forgotten Kingdom DLC, you can find the Invoker class when revisiting Yaesha. This class is designed to maximize the power and duration of spells. Also, this Archetype provides buffs and crowd-control skills. - Warden
The Dark Horizon DLC opens the doors to a new area of N’Erud, a planet full of highly advanced technology. If you explore the factories, you will find the Warden Archetype, which uses technological gadgets such as a support drone to heal, attack, or provide you with a shield.
For now, these are all the archetypes of Remnant 2 at the time of writing. However, with each DLC came more classes, and although there is no news about another expansion, I really look forward to seeing more of this universe. Now that you know everything about all the classes, get your favorites and get ready to explore the confines between planets.
