Content Warning is another co-op game where you and a bunch of friends will have to face off against unspeakable horrors. This time around though, you need to film them and survive the encounter to become famous on the SpookTube. The more scary things you catch, the more you go viral, and the more ad revenues you get for better streaming gear. But like other cooperative games on the market, one question appears often: how many people or players can play Content Warning at the same time?
How Many People or Player Numbers Content Warning Support?
A maximum amount of 4 people can play Content Warning together. On the Steam Store page, the player limit is written in the “Game features” section, along with a list of other amusing in-game components:
- In-game handheld working video camera.
- 2-4 player online coop.
- Voice chat.
- ASCII face customisation [sic].
- Make and save in-game recordings.
- Your friends looking and acting silly.
- Scary animated physics monsters.
- Cursed artefacts [sic].
- Flashlights (many).
- Fame (maybe).
However, if you’re unsatisfied with Content Warning following the “only 4 people can play together” co-op trends, you are in luck! An X (Twitter) user called 753.network managed to build a mod that substantially increased Content Warning max players count in a matter of hours. Aptly named Content Warning More Players Mod, the mod claims it can support up to 128 players simultaneously.
But when using mods like this, there is a chance that either the game’s networking or the engine itself cannot handle such stress. Not to mention that your PC might not be able to do so as well. For that reason, it’s best to use it to play with 8 to 16 players at most. We’d say that’s plenty enough people to make playing Content Warning even more chaotic.
Content Warning is available on PC via Steam.
