A silo is a storage facility for hay, which is a must-have on a farm to feed animals, especially in winter. Let’s see how to add hay to the Silo in Coral Island. Previously, you could build a mill to process fiber into hay and automatically transport it to the silo, but now you have to do it manually.

Before we start talking about how to do this, make sure you already have a silo on your farm that you can interact with. If not, then you need to build one by spending some materials. To do this, go to the carpenter and interact with him to craft a silo from the following resources:

  • Resin:โ€‰x2.
  • Scrap: ั…20
  • Stone: x300
  • Coral coins: x2500.

When everything is ready, place it in the desired location, and wait 1 day for the structure to be fully built. The Silo area is 3×3, so there should definitely be enough space on your farm for this structure. Keep in mind that as the farm grows, you will need to build more silos to feed all the animals, so it is a good idea to have a certain area ready for this.

So, when the silo is ready, all you have to do is put the hay in it. You just need to interact with the silo using the button while holding a stack of hay. By walking up and putting the hay there, you will partially fill the storage. The maximum capacity of one silo is 300 pieces of hay, while everything else left will remain in your inventory.

That’s it, now all the hay that is in the silo will be automatically transferred to the barn or coop using the dispenser. Be sure to keep enough hay for the winter, because this time of year is the most difficult to survive. To increase the amount of hay, you will need to collect fiber and then put it in a dehydrator. This way you can turn the fiber into hay and then put it in the silo. Stock up on fiber by cutting tall grass, but don’t destroy all of it so that it can grow back on the plot. If you don’t have enough fiber on your farm, visit the city or other parts of the island, as tall grass is quite common everywhere.
