After you defeat the Guangzhi mini-boss and ring the bell, you will need to reach a hidden temple in Black Myth: Wukong. While you must defeat various Yaoguai during your journey, the first challenging enemy that you must defeat is a wolf-like beast. Lingxuzi may look beautiful with its pure white coat, but this boss will do everything in its power to kill you in Black Myth: Wukong. As the first proper big boss in the game, you must prepare yourself well and understand its move sets to beat it in battle.
How To Prepare for Lingxuzi Boss Fight
You can encounter Lingxuzi inside the abandoned Guanyin Temple in the Forest of Wolves. Before you face this monster, I suggest you prepare yourself by visiting the nearby shrine. Here are some stuff you can do:
- Craft new armor
- Buy Evil Repelling Medicament
The first armor set you can make is the Pilgrim armor set that can increase your Sprint speed and increase your Attack when running. You can stack this effect 10 times, but it will disappear once you stop sprinting.
Another important item you have to bring is Evil Repelling Medicament. This consumable can boost your defense for a limited time, which is useful when fighting Lingxuzi in Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth: Wukong Lingxuzi Boss Fight Guide
The primary attack that you can expect from Lingxuzi is a leaping move where it will land above your head. You can avoid this attack by rolling forward. Once it performs an attack, the boss will usually jump back and create distance. This may cause issues since you may waste your Stamina trying to get close to the boss.
Another dangerous move is when Lingxuzi stands on its hind legs and howls. This is an AoE attack that you have to avoid by moving away from the boss. Once you get its HP bar to half, it may start to jump on the roofs and then launch itself at you. This is the most dangerous attack, and you must dodge it to avoid damage.
The best time to hit Lingxuzi in Black Myth: Wukong is when the beast licks its paw. This will give you one to two seconds of opening where you can land your hits. At the start of the fight, I suggest you shift into Red Tides mode.
Wukong will change shape into the Guangzhi Yaoguai. Besides having powerful attacks, you will also deal Burn damage that can inflict damage over time. This will help you quickly reduce the boss’ health.
Afterward, you can use the Immobilize spell when you get into a tough spot or want to forcefully create an opening. Even without upgrading your mana, you can use this skill two to three times.
Defeating the Yaoguai King: Lingxuzi in Black Myth: Wukong will give you these rewards:
- Will x699
- Stone Spirit x1
- Grey Wolf Mask
- Mind Core Material
The Grey Wolf Mask is equipment that can increase your Damage Bonus when you have low health. On the other hand, Mind Core is a rare material you can use to craft a Celestial Medicine. I also suggest exploring the abandoned temple once you defeat the boss since you can find two more treasure chests in this location.
