This article is over 1 years old and may contain outdated information.

Nobody wants a house that you can’t securely lock up or even see outside of. That just leaves you with a whole bunch of danger, both unseen and willing to waltz right in like they own the place. How else would you be able to shut out enemies with the touch of a button or peek at the giant blue spirit beast if not with doors and windows? However, if you build doors and windows in your new Nightingale base, things will be much easier and a ton safer. However, that certainly isn’t the case if you can’t figure out how to build doors and windows in the first place, but don’t worry. We’re here to walk you through it.

Before you get started, you’ll need to collect a bunch of resources, then head into the Building menu by using the B key on your keyboard. Next, open up the Buildings: Crude category. Within it, you can find the blueprints for all types of structures.

After you’ve placed down your blueprints, the rest should be a breeze. Simply ensure that you have enough resources to fill up the blueprints, approach them with the materials in your inventory, and then press E on the structure to auto-fill it. This will complete the construction of your doors and windows in Nightingale.

It’s important to note that as you play and progress throughout Nightingale, you will unlock additional crafting and building blueprints. That said, you won’t always have to stick with the crude building blueprints. Eventually, you will be able to craft much nicer buildings, and thus, much nicer doors and windows.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
